Abid Shah is a writer based in Lahore, Pakistan. As a freelancer he pursues cultural topics: food, travel and music. He profiles individuals making their way in a changing world.

Shah has also reported on Pakistani politics for three years. He was features editor at The Friday Times, Pakistan's longest-running
independent magazine, and has written opinions for the Daily Times newspaper. He has contributed reporting to BBC Urdu, Time magazine, The Toronto Star and The Washington Times, and has been interviewed as an expert by several BBC programs. His travel writing has appeared in CNN Traveller and Adventure magazine.

Shah studied English and Politics at Williams College in Massachusetts
and Exeter College, Oxford University. He grew up in Pakistan, Iraq
and Saudi Arabia.
